On walkabout in High Valleyfield

6 August 2015

TENANTS and residents who took part in our estate walkabout at Pentland Terrace, High Valleyfield, yesterday (Weds 5 August) are now planning to form a group to take forward improvements to the area.

There was a really good turn out from residents, who joined colleagues from Fife Housing Group to inspect the exterior of FHG flats and the surrounding environment.

Issues raised included:

  • Wear and tear to paintwork and walls
  • dog fouling
  • blocked gutters
  • bins not being put back
  • parking problems at the bottom of Pentland Terrace
  • the need for a grit box in the winter at the top of the street.
  • overgrown areas at the back of the flats and trees and bushes between Pentland Terrace and the main road.

West Fife Villages Housing Officer Angie Munton said she was delighted that so many tenants had taken time to join the walkabout: “By working together we can make small improvements which can make a big difference to the lives of people who live in this community.

“I am particularly pleased that the residents are planning to form a group which will help to drive these changes forward.”
