Fife Housing Group is a trading name of PACT Enterprises Ltd and Fife Housing Association Ltd, one of the largest independent housing associations in Scotland with more than 2500 properties in Fife and an annual turnover of over £11 million. We employ 63 colleagues currently based in our offices in Dunfermline and Lochgelly.
We have properties in communities from High Valleyfield in West Fife to Leuchars in the East. They range from 100-year-old cottages and two and three bedroomed flats to state-of-the-art, new-build houses. Most of our homes are in the areas of Kirkcaldy, Levenmouth, Central Fife, Dunfermline and the West Fife villages.
Our services include assistance with managing your tenancy and a full repairs and maintenance service, based in Lochgelly. We commit more than £2 million each year to such repairs and maintenance to make sure the condition and energy-efficiency of the homes meet the right standards.
What we stand for
Fife Housing Group is committed to building the foundations of an excellent business for the benefits of its tenants and other customers
As a major provider of homes to those in greatest housing need, we play an increasingly important part in helping Fife residents lead the lives they want to lead.
Because of this we are committed to providing quality services to our customers, while making sure they are involved in the decisions which most affect them.
There are challenges ahead, not least the ongoing changes to the welfare benefits system which is already having a significant impact on tenants and the income we receive.
At a time when money is scarce, we want to make sure we invest every penny we receive in the right way for the benefit of our tenants. We also strive to be open and consistent in everything we do so that our customers have confidence in us as their landlord.
Our guiding principle in the coming years will be getting the basics right to create the foundations of an excellent business for the benefit of our tenants, colleagues and other customers.
We will achieve this by delivering our services through the values of being:
- Open and honest
- Firm but fair
How we got here
Fife Housing Association was founded in 1997 when 2800 properties were transferred from the former Scottish Homes to a tenant-led steering group.
In 2000 the Association embarked on building new homes and has been a lead partner in the regeneration of the areas of Dysart near Kirkcaldy and Abbeyview, Dunfermline.
In 2010 it created a subsidiary company, PACT Enterprises which generates income for Fife Housing Group by acquiring homes and letting them for mid-market and market rent.
In 2002, the association moved from the former Scottish Homes office in Rosyth to custom-built premises in Dunfermline.
Five years later it formed its own maintenance services which carries out repairs and maintenance programmes for our properties.
